Natural Nangka wood long mala, made with 8mm beads. Thismala of 108 beads, excluding the head bead,is strung on strong thread with natural Graywood marker beads every 27th bead, a Graywood head bead and a 100% cotton tassel to finish.
These natural wood beads are from the Philippines. The Nangka or Jackfruit tree is a species of tree in the mulberry family, which is native to parts of South and Southeast Asia. This wood is naturally coloured a golden yellow. Graywood beads are from the Graywood or Kunawom tree. It is a high quality, very smooth wood. These natural beads are not a pure grey in colour but have subtle grey/green shading.
The beads are 8mm in size and the mala measures over the 108 beads approximately 83cm (32 inches). Laid flat and measured from top to toe, with the tassel and head beads, it is around 48cm (19 inches).
